The Comeback is Always Stronger than the Setback I’m a mid 30’s woman residing in Delhi. I went through a breakup/separation towards the end of last year. The separation was extremely painful for me. I was left anxious, sad and extremely stressed. Heartbreak was not unfamiliar to me. But, this time, I knew I had to seek help to get over the relationship. I contacted Mind Temple and began therapy with Ms Kanan Kanakia. Over the last 8 months, I have steadily improved with therapy and my therapist’s support. What particularly helped me were the following aspects of therapy: Disruptions of my faulty assumptions/ cognitions by the therapist. Focus on the scheduling of activities. Customisation and alignment of interventions (quantity + type) to my needs and emotional states. Distressing events are part and parcel of everyone’s lives. However, seeking help can make the healing journey much more bearable. I seriously recommend therapy! Filled with gratitude, I want to thank Mind Temple and Ms Kanakia for the support provided to me during this difficult period of time. Today, I have negligible anxiety/ stress with regard to the event. On most occasions, I remain optimistic and happy. My improvement is not complete. But, today I know, I have the requisite armoury to take on life’s stressors.
